Purity & HolinessHow do we teach our youth to abstain when the world cries out, "Be one of us?" After years of counseling youth, our founders, Bob Tissot and Alex Rahill, found a void in the lessons our Christian youth have been taught. They knew the "no", but not the "why". We’ve been teaching their heads, but not reaching their hearts. The message is not to do purity, but to be pure. Through this program our goal is to bring a young person to an understanding of why God calls us to lead a holy life, and then to set standards and commitments to gain a life of Purity & Holiness.
Our young people are not going to hear the Word of God on television, at most educational institutions, and they are not going to read it on Facebook, in People, or on a blog. Where then are they going to hear the truth? Where then are they going to take time to study and reflect on God's Word especially in the critical area of sexuality.
One of the facts that we need to come to terms with is that our young people are bombarded on a daily basis with opinions about how they should best live their lives in order to best serve themselves. Where does the Lord and His will fit into this? Usually God is portrayed as a killjoy who is out to deprive us of anything that feels even remotely close to satisfying. This is a lie. The truth is that God is our loving heavenly Father who wants the best for us, his children; His way is the best way!
God invented our sexuality and called it good within the "protective walls" of Christian marriage. We need to do the same. Outside of these walls however, it is like a fire being burned in the middle of the living room instead of in the fireplace-- It can burn down dreams and destroy lives. Learn with us that “Purity is a blessing….not a curse.”
Age appropriate themes are presented in each of the purity seminars. Pure Expedition is targeted for the high school student while Pure Adventure focuses on middle school students. Your students will want to attend each.
Purity and Holiness retreats are designed for a local faith community to come, grow and learn together and return home accountable to one another. Come with your youth group, or join with others of the same age in exploring and learning together.

Key verse: “It is God's will that you should be holy; that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God; and that in this matter no one should wrong his brother or take advantage of him. The Lord will punish men for all such sins, as we have already told you and warned you. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you His Holy Spirit.” 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 (NIV)
